Dediduous sequoia?

[edit]

I can find no confirmation about sequoia being deciduous. Indeed, most works refer to the leaves remaining photosynthaic for about four years and remaining attached to the tree for up to twenty years User:Rjstott

Mea culpa. That's what I get for working from memory. I wonder who told me that. Will fix, if you haven't already. Vicki Rosenzweig

Not really, 'cos I think the 'Coastal Redwood' is deciduous as is a Chinese variety? So if you think it's important, go ahead User:Rjstott

Do all conifers have yellow pollen? And do any besides the larch lose thier needles? I left out other decidious species.User:Robert Foley

The genera Glyptostrobus, Metasequoia, and Taxodium (all in family Cupressaceae) are also deciduous. SCHZMO 21:47, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
