An enjoyable little book giving a fascinating insight into the syllabus for a young Roman aristocrat and the Romans' view of the world and themselves. Much more should be made of this work - students of Latin could use it just as Eutropius is given for translation out of Latin.

Some help and detail on post-1911 edition or editions would be welcome; apparently there was a German edition in 1935:

Note: there is no point putting a stub message on this page. All that is known of Ampelius is the Liber Memorialis book, so there will likely never be any additional information to add here. All details on that book are included on its page.
