20th century

[edit]

The discussion of drama in the 20th century is very sketchy. Can someone please expand it? Also, the whole article needs a lot more referencing. -- Ssilvers (talk) 23:17, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What are you talking about??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.60.230.3 (talk) 11:38, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The whole page seems very short for such a long and important dramatic tradition. Aristophanes68 (talk) 14:57, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Interregnum

[edit]

The theatres were closed in 1642, not 1649. The present article only says that the theatres were closed during the interregnum. A reader would have to assume they closed in 1649, though they were closed for seven more years than that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eawonder (talkcontribs) 19:28, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bits in need of attention

[edit]

Just a note: Melodrama has been left out, and although it's drama not theatre, the tradition of the actor manager and its role in shaping and developing drama needs to be mentioned. There's also the independent theatre movement, and, as ssilvers said, the 20th century is almost empty at the moment. DionysosProteus (talk) 19:56, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
