Pronuncuation & etymology

Pronunciation as separate letters, "Bee ee". Etymology is quite simple: Be X-ray binaries are X-ray binaries. The donor is a Be star. I think the "Be" is the only non-trivial thing here, and I will write at least a stub on Be stars in future. -- Caid Raspa 08:44 Apr 16, 2003 (UTC)

Be X-ray binaries → Be/X-ray binary – Per WP:SINGULAR the title should be the singular form. Furthermore a Google scholar search [1] shows that the more commonly-used form includes a slash between "Be" and "X-ray", and in such cases WP:SUBPAGE#Slashes in article titles indicates that the article should be named accordingly. 77.57.25.250 (talk) 23:11, 13 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Comment MOS:SLASH avoid slashes when possible. As the non-slashed form exists in literature, then we have a non-slashed form that can be used, without causing confusion with subpages. - MOS:SLASH appears to apply to using a slash as a conjunction in article text rather than how we should represent terms whose most common form includes the slash in article titles. WP:COMMONNAME is more relevant here, as is WP:SUBPAGE#Slashes in article titles. Also here it aids clarity: it makes it more obvious that "Be" is not the verb "be". 77.57.25.250 (talk) 07:39, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
