Calling French numbers from abroad

[edit]

I think a Paris number would be +33 1 etc, not +33 01 etc, could someone include this and possible variations in the article? --GaborPete (talk) 01:13, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Area codes

[edit]

the "country code" for france is "33" - However, what are the "area codes" called - for example "02" for Paris? is it called "Provincial code"?

I think that information should be added as well - if anyone knows it.

Well... I suppose it could be called "code régional", but since it corresponds to no administrative or historical entity, there isn't really any accurate name that can be used. And since the whole number always has to be dialed (02 is for the west, by the way, 01 is for Paris) there is no real need to have a word for just a part of it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.57.168.140 (talk) 21:00, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article issues

[edit]

This article seems to be broken. Whenever I click on it, it tries to download to my pc rather than display in the browser.

International access code

[edit]

When did the international access code change from 19 to 00? At the same time as one of the other changes mentioned, I assume, but it needs to be clarified which. Was it ever anything else before it was 19? Beorhtwulf (talk) 17:44, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
