I tried to make this a little more encyclopedic and a little less of a publicity pitch. Anybody know any more about the event? Also, I wasn't sure what to do about the links to The Hindu articles. Is it normal wiki format to link to the press like that? I didn't want to delete material, so I left them, but moved them out of the way. Paul Hope 21:34, 13 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well I am duly aware of this event and was the member of the Founding Team. The facts mentioned in the article are correct to the best of my knowlegdeMadhur.deep 08:09, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We are re doing the page to keep it under the constraints of an encyclopedic article rather than a sales pitch and as for verifiability, we are a part of the team for the event this year. I think linking it to the the press articles gives this write up authenticity. Also the event has gained a character of its own and merging it with NIT Trichy page wouldn't be justice for an event of such magnitude Nittwit 08:40, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Nit.pragyan.logo.jpg

[edit]

Image:Nit.pragyan.logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:01, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

If someone has a Pragyan logo, please upload it. This article looks incomplete without it. And please release it with a GDFL license, and give the fair use rationale to avoid deletion. Vasanthakumarep 15:13, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal for article rework

[edit]

I propose to rework this article in the following ways:

1)have a new section dedicated to describing event clusters.Pragyan has over 50 events divided into multiple event clusters.I think describing what Pragyan is made of is essential to describing it.

2)I propose reverse chronology.

I shall be begin work on proposal (1) next week (since it is a new section),while i shall wait for the discussions on proposal (2) for at least a month.

regards,

The moon rover Pragyan (rover) is significantly more notable and well known, including by WP:RS. Page views supports the same, despite Pragyan presumably having some views that would be meant for the rover.

I'm boldly moving this page from Pragyan to Pragyan (festival) and the moon rover to Pragyan.

Please discuss here if there's disagreements.

Move discussion in progress

[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Pragyan (rover) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 22:33, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
