I've just edited the Ise Shrine entry; most important to the edit: the previous editor stated that at the time of the regular removals (shikinen sengū) the shrines are "burned," but this is not true. They are carefully dismantled and their parts recycled wherever possible. Also, the shrines have been traditionally known in English as the "Grand Shrines of Ise," in reflection of the customary name Daijingū. Naikū and Gekū are not connected by a sacred forest, although shrine forests can be found in the mountains surrounding the towns (Uji and Yamada are present-day districts of the adminstrative unit Ise shi 市 or city) Finally, I corrected the spelling of the kami names, adding a couple of macrons where necessary.
