Retcon
[edit]What does "retconned" mean? --Tagishsimon
- Subsequent stories rewrote the information. In this case it was a limited series entitled "Hobgoblin Lives", about 8 years ago now. Timrollpickering 01:40, 25 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Pictures
[edit]I propose we add some pictures of Ned Leeds, aswell as one with him as the Hobgoblin. What do you think? 70.58.221.220
Main suspect
[edit]Ned Leeds was the main suspect when the Green Goblin's identity was still a secret
Is there any evidence for this? It's been a while since I've read the stories but I can't recall much that really pushed Leeds as a suspect - the only suspect investigated (and cleared) was Frederick Foswell. It does, however, seem likely he was Ditko's choice (see the quote on Green Goblin) but I think someone may have over extrapolated the details on the Spidey Kicks Butt article at http://www.spideykicksbutt.com/SquanderedLegacy/SquanderedLegacyPart1.html Timrollpickering (talk) 00:28, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Out-universe editorial info on the Leeds-Kingsley controversy
[edit]As I understand it, Roger Stern originally wanted Roderick Kingsley to be the Hobgoblin, but it was later revealed to be Leeds, either because of editorial disagreement, or because Stern left the title for other reasons before the reveal could be written. I read the book Stern wrote several years ago in which he established that Kingsley was indeed Hobs, and not Leeds, and addressed some of the continuity issues and logic problems with the idea of Leeds being the villain, but none of this is currently mentioned in the article. It needs to be added, and with proper sources.
Also, the pic currently in the Infobox is indeed an important one, but since he was not really Hobgoblin, it should be moved further down in the article, and replaced with a more neutral one that shows him in normal attire.
Replacement for main article picture
[edit]As others have pointed out in this discussion page, it is misleading to have Ned Leeds' in the Hobgoblin attire as his main article photo, given that he was not the main Hobgoblin (Roderick Kingsley was). I propose we replace that picture with a different one that highlights his position as a Daily Bugle employee.

MCU movies
[edit]Why is the listing for No Way Home a synopsys of the entire movie instead of focus on the Ned character? 24.32.230.242 (talk) 14:13, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
