[edit]A lot of the historical detail here is about the borough, not the county constituency, and really needs to be moved to a separate article. I will do so if nobody violently objects. Rgmmortimore (talk) 20:07, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Article consistency
[edit]This article is very detailed but it does not follow the style of other articles, and I believe we should move the results into a framework with other constituency pages to make it consistent. I'm also unsure if Rgmmortimore made the changes they hoped to. I may reorganise the page if there are no objections. --JMPhillips92 (talk) 21:16, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
- There are a handful of UK Constituency articles that go into this sort of detail. In these articles I think it helps the reader to be able to easily see the relevant election table as they make their way through the story. Graemp (talk) 22:04, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
Happy to make minor amendments but feel that article follows what should be the appropriate pattern.Macs15 (talk) 11:25, 6 April 2016 (UTC)

Article detail
[edit]My substantial edit was just reverted. I am happy to discuss as I think I have a way through the issue.

Hi. You are doing valuable work on these election articles. A few do have more detail than others and there has been some discussion in the past about chronology. some articles start with earliest results first. I don’t have a strong view on that. My only suggestion with this article is that the commentary on the results should be retained. I suggest that moving this material to the History section would be a way forward. Cheers. I agree with you. Let me have a bash at it and I will comment here when I am done. To do that I will have to undo your revert. Cheers Benawu2 (talk) 11:33, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
No problem. I also suggest that the “winning candidate template should be kept. It is a fairly recent development.Macs15 (talk) 11:36, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
Funny you should mention that...... I got into an edit battle (not war) with a user who has since been banned (for unrelated issues) about this issue. I was using the winning candidate template and got bashed around for it so in the end I backed off to keep the peace. Since then I haven't used it so as to maintain consistency. Is there a chat anywhere about it?
I’m not aware of any discussion- or opposition for that matter. Generally feel it is a good idea.Macs15 (talk) 12:19, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
Right I have had a go at editing as discussed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ceredigion_(UK_Parliament_constituency)
Let me know if any issues.
Cheers

I think that has resolved the issues. Good luck with the editing! Macs15 (talk) 16:03, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
Ceredigion and Pembroke North
[edit]I'm not sure why the results for Ceredigion and Pembroke North are included in this page. After all, Meirionnydd Nant Conwy has a separate page to Merioneth/Meirionnydd, and both pairs had similar boundaries. I agree with Ynys Môn/Anglesey sharing a page, as they are basically both versions of the same constituency, but am not sure why this has happened here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by YttriumShrew (talk • contribs) 22:45, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
