Russian hosting sites

[edit]

Thanks for the note, Maxim. I unblocked most of the Russian hosting sites, but not shengen.ru. +sj + 14:46, 15 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Jacob Bruce

[edit]

Maxim привет :) I will have to run every reference by you from now on, don't I? ;) Please take a look; perhaps you'd want to include some of these in your article:

Russia portal

[edit]

Hello, Maxim. You should know that you work in the English Wiki is appreciated. Please don't forget to announce new Russia-related articles here. Best wishes, Ghirlandajo 08:57, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

DYK

[edit]
Updated DYK query Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article Jacob Bruce, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Russia board

[edit]

Maxim, thanks for your contributions. Please note though, that the Russian Wikipedian Notice board is now defunct. Please check the boards and the Russia portal and Ukraine portal. Both have separate boards for announcement of new articles and for general announcements to draw the attention to any issues. Thanks again! --Irpen 00:18, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'll be looking there regularly... MvR 01:35, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. WikiThanks.
Thanks. WikiThanks.

I would like to express my thanks to all the good people who spent their valuable time time and effort working on my (failed) RfA voting. Especially for those who actually voted to support me :). Lets move on and make together our Wikipedia an even greater place abakharev 10:00, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

DYK

Hi, I am sorry for the delay in letting you know of this - it was on the main page on the 13th just in time for Old New Year but I updated User:Introvert's talkpage thinking that he was the creator of the article (he actually nominated it for DYK). The mistake occurred primarily because this was used at the last minute to replace a copyvio entry on DYK. --Gurubrahma 16:18, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Participant alert regarding Wikiproject on Advertising

[edit]

The Wikiproject No Ads, created as a backlash against the Answers.com deal, has served an important function in providing a space for users to express their disagreement with the Foundation proposal. While the current controversies about userboxes raise questions about political and social advocacy on Wikipedia, there should be greater flexibility regarding advocacy about Wikipedia in the Wikipedia namespace. Reported and linked by Slashdot and other press sources as a unique and spontaneous occurence in Wikipedia history, it has apparently had some impact as, despite being scheduled to begin in January, not a peep has been heard about the trial and proposed sponsored link since the deal's controversial announcement months ago. Currently, however, there is an attempt to delete the project or move it off Wikipedia altogether. Since the Foundation has provided no additional information and has not attempted to answer the specific questions that participants in the project raised, it is unclear if the Answers.com deal has been abandoned or simply delayed. Until the situation becomes more clear, I believe the group should still have a place in the Wikipedia namespace. Sincerely, Tfine80 00:05, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your voting!

Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi, thanks for your voting on my RFA. It has finished with the result 88/14/9, and I am promoted. I am really overwhelmed with the amount of support I have got. With some of you we have edited many articles as a team, with some I had bitter arguments in the past, some of you I consider to be living legends of Wikipedia and some nicks I in my ignorance never heard before. I love you all and I am really grateful to you.

If you feel I can help you or Wikipedia as a human, as an editor or with my newly acquired cleaning tools, then just ask and I will be happy to assist. If you will feel that I do not live up to your expectation and renegade on my promises, please contact me. Maybe it was not a malice but just ignorance or a short temper. Thank you very much, once more! abakharev 07:34, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

А зачем ты пишешь мне письма на мыло?

[edit]

Зачем, собственно? Я в тот ящик крайне нерегулярно заглядываю. Меня всегда можно найти здесь. Или в Викционарии, где я викисталкерствую за одним из ру-викип-админов. :-))) Dart evader 15:21, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ну откуда мне знать, где тебя проще найти :) MvR 15:44, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

De profundis...

[edit]

Dart evader 17:41, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. MvR 14:19, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thankies. Dart evader 05:06, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
