[edit]This sentence is ambiguous "At Rhandea he laid down his diadem at the foot of the emperor's statue, promising not to resume it until he received it from the hand, of Nero himself in Rome. " Who is "he"? Corbulo? --LeeHunter 20:16, 11 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Yes. --Panairjdde 09:00, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
- NO! Tiridates of course. Why would Corbulo have a diadem?--Eupator 19:25, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

References to Corbulo in the Halo web series "Forward Unto Dawn."
[edit]In the series, UNSC cadets are being trained at the Corbulo Academy, and their battle cry is "Axios!" See http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Corbulo_Academy_of_Military_Science
- Correct, Axios is a Greek word which literally translates to "axes" but Corbulo proclaimed "Axios!" as he fell upon his own sword to prove his loyalty to the Roman Empire after Emperor Nero ordered him to do so. --Taylor.Bolton (talk) 23:09, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
Might want to add that as an external reference or use in popular media or something. Ileanadu (talk) 23:32, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
probally not worthy as a mention as in the webseries they later mention the refrence quoting the story of Corbula as the insperation for both name and battle cry.152.91.9.153 (talk) 21:06, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
