[edit]some mention should be made of how he came to be German, yet seems to be completely Romanian. User:Conte Giacomo
Petrovici is a transylvanian German. Transylvania is a romanian province, in the past with a dense german population. Like many others, Petrovici emigrated in Germany. User:Excellsior
On reading this, I thought he had settled into Germany and studied there, and gained citizenship some time.
Issues arising from cleanup
[edit]The place where he was born: a city, a province, what?
By the way, could you say more about some of his colleagues, or make articles about them? The Romanian medical system is an enduring interest for me (or shall become so)!.
Also what is the thing with central hemispheres, just before language? EuropracBHIT 04:58, 27 Jun 2004 (UTC)
My answers:
[edit]- Petrovici is a normal human, I thing he doesnt like to be considered like a fish in an aquarium. What does he look like, you can see in the article.
- Ploiesti is a city in the Prahova county in Romania, the most important oil field in the country, during the war heavily bombed by the British and American forces (from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia !)
- More about his colleagues: go to Zülch (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaus-Joachim Zülch), his predecessor as chief of the neurological clinic Cologne. See already "my contributions": five article about neurologists.
- What is the thing with central hemisphere just before language ? (sic)
The question has a false formulation. Search in encyclopedia for Brain and Language.
- Petrovici had not gained citizenship settled into Germany, he
is a transylvanian German, i.e. he is not "a German neurologist of Romanian birth", but "a German neurologist native of Romania".
- By the way, whereto this whole discussion ?. Petrovici is o.k., the article is o.k. The notice needing cleanup and the listing on the cleanup page have to be removed.
